Linda Nutting Cummings

Attorney Cummings is an extremely dedicated and passionate lawyer. In addition to running her own successful legal practice, she is the proud mother to five children, through marriage and adoption, and two Labrador retrievers.  Not only has she practiced family law for many years, she has experienced many of the situations that her clients face. Linda is also an avid skier and loves to cook.

Attorney Cummings is very mindful of clients’ expectations.  At the end of the day most people simply want their lawyer to be honest, hardworking and responsive.  Attorney Cummings prides herself on being upfront and forthright with her clients.  She won’t paint a rosy picture during the initial consultation just to obtain the retainer.  She works extremely hard for all of her clients regardless of the size of their case because she understands that every case is important. She and her staff are committed to ensuring that all telephone calls are returned within 48 hours.

Linda truly sees her practice as an opportunity to help people through what is likely to be one of the most difficult times in their lives. Linda’s life experiences as well as her vast legal/courtroom experience help her to be a compassionate listener and fierce advocate when necessary.

Linda spent seven years as a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General. She was the lead prosecutor on dozens of high level political corruption, narcotics, organized crime, and firearms cases. She then spent six years at financial giant Fidelity Investments. Missing the courtroom, Linda decided to start her own law practice. She has been serving clients from her office in Andover, Massachusetts since 2003.

Since opening her office, Linda has handled hundreds of family law matters including, but not limited to, cases involving divorce, alimony, paternity, child support, child custody, visitation, and grandparent visitation issues. She has also handled hundreds of criminal defense proceedings, including cases involving alleged sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, narcotics, firearms, theft, drunk driving and homicide.
